rear wheel play

I found some play in my rear wheel today. When I push it side to side it feels like there is a tiny bit of play. Is this normal? :?

  no it is not, adjust it or replace the bearings.
  
  it depends on the hub. info on adjusting cone and cup hubs on parktools.
