Muc Off Damage to brakes...

Hi There

Looking for a little advice. I recently used the Muc Off bike spray when cleaning my bike but suspect I have damaged the rear disc brake by contaminating them. I have avid juicy 5's fitted. The brake is now pretty unresponsive and squeals when used at low speed.

Is there any remedy apart from buying new discs ? I take it the rotor will be fine ?

Cheers

new pads you mean? Also clean the discs before using the new pads.
  • Thanks for the reply. Yes, I meant pads...will I need to replace them then or is there anything that can be done with the existing setup ?

    Thanks

muc off tends to make the brakes "fuzzy" after it has got on them but tends to be ok after some use. I think you may have got something else on there as well?

Isopropanol alcohol is the stuff to use when cleaning discs.
