cleaning brake disc are

Hi,
Had a search for this - but just need a clearer answer. just bought a specialised stumpjumper - fantastic piece of kit. been out quite a lot and trying to clean using muck off after every ride. however - not sure what to do about the brake disc area - how do i clean that area? - or should i ?

and what about front shocks - can i simply just brush them off around the seals. sorry if this sounds a bit obvious - more into riding the bikes than cleaning.

wipe the seals with a clean damp cloth.

muck off is OKish for the brakes. but i prefer Isopropanol alcohol for the brakes.

I agree, use IPA or isopropanol alcohol from your chemist for pennies

Yeah I got a load of isopropanol wipes off eBay, work great on discs

I'd definately use isopropyl alcohol, IPA is way too sticky and full of sugar

and the pads - do you clean them as well or just the brake discs?...sorry - newbie. can i clean the whole area with just soap and water?

I would not use too much soap and water. but it i did i would then clean with Isopropanol alcohol.

I oil the fork dust seals every couple of rides or so with finish line wet lube aswell
