Just done my first 25 mile time trail, did O.K until 20 miles in when we came to a decent with loads of gravel, I hit 42 MPH keeping up with the two guys in front but then I couldn't get the thought out of my head that this is just silly and if I come off at this speed its not going to do my boyish good looks much good.
42 on gravel is sodding scary, came in 15th out of 25 so not too bad for a fist time, everything hurts

not going to break any records 1 hour 5 minutes 47 seconds
I think 25 is too far for me at the moment.

That's a pretty good time for first attempt presumably on lanes rather than a dual carriageway course - chapeau!

That's a very good effort. From what I remember it's about my own PB though it's a long time ago. Well done.

Crikey - 25mph on a slightly loose road surface is enough to make my buttocks clench!

    I make that 22.74 mph - that's bloody good isn't it!

That would equate to around a 27min 10 miler as well me thinks.....?
But from the sounds of it, you have the feeling your better at the 10 distance.

I'm impressed, and that is way way way faster than me

Will be interested to hear what your 10 mile time is bb, as I plan to start training over a set 10 mile distance to see just how slow I am, and then to see what improvements I can make

    Cheers
