Simeoni's did not name Lance - what happened was that initially he denied the doping (as most do / would do) but later changed his testimony to name his coach and hence prescriber of EPO etc as Snr Ferrari - the very same man that Armstrong used and said was a good guy. Armstrong seemed to take beef at the fact that his own coach was being pointed to as a bad guy and then took issue with Simeoni. Simeoni seemed to be someone who went to a coach, the one that was know to get results, and then did what he was told to even if it was illegal. Reading later interviews with him he seemed to be someone that loved racing and would prefer to be out of the must-take-drugs-to-win environment.0

Having just read the chapter on Simeoni, from "Bad Blood", it's apt.

Picked to ride for Italy in the WC's but ignored.
He thought, after testifying against Ferrari, the abuse would eventually fade. He was wrong. Lance never forgets.
Finally, he ends up riding way below his weight, having lost and estimated several hundred thousand Euros in earnings.

My point was that Frigo's team mate was Pozzato. Not that Pozzato would dope of course, "preparation" for him means a trip to the hairdresser.0
