Do you have the link for the 2007 you have seen? Very few OE models came with the Turnkey damper, most had the Motion Control damper0

Here's the 2007:

Here's the 2008:

The 2007 is £189 versus £229 for the 2008 (or £199 if I go for the V and disc brake model)
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the differences mate.0 -
I'd contact Parkers about it - the picture shows the Reba to have the Motion Control damper. Also turnkey forks do not have adjustable compression damping - just a lockout, on/off.0
-
If you click the picture it will give you more views and it shows a compression dampener with lockout on it.
I think it's the blue one, am I looking at the right thing?0 -
I would say so. The damper is better, and the adjustment will allow you to set the fork up to perfection.0

Wait a sec...If you click the picture it will give you more views and it shows a compression dampener with lockout on it.

Thats what I am saying - the pic shows one fork, the description another.0

I'm a little confused, it's easily done!
The description for the 2007 model states both motion control damping and adjustabe compression damping. In the photo there's a red and white sticker on the fork which says 'motion control' and the blue adjuster says 'compression' on it.
I'm unsure what's missing?0 -
In the spec list it says Turnkey - which is a damper used on the cheaper Tora and Recon (and some rare OE Rebas). Its a diferent beastie, and has no adjustable compression.
A confusing page lol.0 -
Aha...so the blue thingy on the photo is not infact a turnkey lockout?
This is a truly confusing page, apologies!0 -
The fork has the little red sticker on the crown that says 'motion control'!
Parker are swines for doing this!0 -
Right, I'm getting there slowly! So the sticker refers to a feature that isn't actually on the fork then?0
-
Or the other way round! Need to know exactly which version they are selling.0
-
So I need to ask if the one I'm getting is a turnkey version as the one pictured is not a turnkey version?
(From what you're saying it's not the turnkey one I want!)
Thanks for taking part in what must be the worst post ever to feature on Bike Radar!0
