Shimano 105 v SRAM Rival

Any thoughts on advantages/disadvantages of each? Looks like the bike I'm getting will be SRAM equipped...I was quite looking forward to getting a "flight deck" computer...or is it a bit of a gimmick?
What's this "double tap" thing SRAM are on about? Plenty of references to it on the website but it does not actually tell you what it is!
Are they equivalents or is one groupset a bit better?

Double tap uses the same lever for shifting up and down.

I'd suggest test riding both if you can as the two styles of shifting are quite different. I was in a similiar situation and went for Shimano 105 in the end for my commuter.0

OK thanks guys, looks like it will be a SRAM equipped bike I'm getting but I appreciate the comments.
TBH I've only had a teeny couple of hundred yards ride on a friend's Shimano equipped roadie and although I liked the Shimano system I did find it a bit odd that the brake lever moved...so hopefully I'll like the SRAM system...0
