My new Scott Scale 30 - with reflectors!

Just picked this up yesterday, I hate it that they dont stay like this forever. I love the innocence of the reflectors too! (they have been removed now ready for Margam this weekend!)
I'll miss my trusty Kona but having had a go on a demo scale 30 I just had to have one.
After surviving the grilling from 'er in doors about why I needed one I plan to do no modifications, resting on the fact that i'm lucky to still have a key that fits the lock on my door!
EDIT: I tell a lie, I swapped the rubbish (well for the UK) Racing Ralphs over for Fire XC Pro's, nearly binned the demo bike on the RR's on loose but dry trails.

Nice looking bike!
I'm going to clean and photograph my bike this weekend so I can have it in my signature
I had the reflectors on my Giant for a few days, but in the end I had to remove them. Now it looks very sleek. I have kept the rear one though.... my dad would tell me off if I removed it... and I'm 26 in 2 days lol
Enjoy it... I'd love to hear what you think of the Fox forks.0 -
I was tempted to leave them on for the Marathon Champs this weekend, but as there's a risk of me being photographed I thought i'd better not.
Interestingly enough I didn't get a bell which I thought was compulsary, oh well :PScott Scale Custom

Very nice - big fan of Scales.
Still got my wheel reflectors on AND my bell (used it in town and it saves me mowing people down) - take the bell off for big rides though :oops:0 -

Cheers....
This is my first time with Fox, only ever had marz bombers or marz mx pros in the past.
However, if the demo set were anything to go by they will be soooo plush.Surf-Matt wrote:Still got my wheel reflectors on AND my bell (used it in town and it saves me mowing people down) - take the bell off for big rides though
Yeah I must say that bells / Hope Pro2's are so useful on the trails into Sherwood Pines, the Pro2's are something I will miss from my old bike, especially for their walker clearing ability.Scott Scale Custom

I was looking (or should I say drooling) at this bike in an Evans catalogue and I can't for the life of me work out why Scott has opted to put such entry level wheels and hubs on a middle to top of the range bike!!!??? The mind boggles - or at least mine does anyway...0

I think you will be impressed by the Fox's... I know I was when I test rode a bike with them. So much so I bought myself a set for the Cove!!Cove Handjob XC

I think to bring the Carbon frame (£1300 r.r.p) in at this level required a cut back in other areas - hence the wheels (ok but heavy-ish) etc. Frame aside the Scale 35 is ahead of the 30 on spec.Scott Scale Custom

That's a nice bike. Hope you enjoy it.
I've recently experienced Fox forks for the first time, and I must say that they're plush. I've had the bike approx. 5 weeks and, after a bit of twiddling, the forks (32 Vanilla R) have bedded-in nicely.0
