presta valved tubes with shraeder drilled rims

excuse the question but after a p******* on the way home and walking back in the rain (not one 'you ok mate?' from the other two wheelers) i am rather tired and bought the wrong tubes earlier.

Can i safely use the presta tubes with my mtb rims?

    Yes, but it is best to use a plastic grommet that takes up the space. You can get away with locking the thread nut down tight, but it can still move about a bit.

    some of the valve lock rings do the same job if turned up side down.

    Ive been running my road/commute bike like this with no problem for 4 months now.

    Jyst make sure you lock it up nicely with the lockring.
    Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)
