Puncture repair levers and patches

Hi,
I've been buying 80p puncture repair kits from WIlkinsons which are great but you only get six patches per pack. I now have loads of glue, is there anywhere I can buy cheap patches in bulk? Say boxes of 50? Can't see any on the usual shops online (Wiggle, CRC, Merlin).
Also, tyre levers, I have the cheap plastic ones but they bend, are there any metal levers out there that won't scratch my rims. Need to use them more on my road bike where the rims are more fragile. Something plastic coated?

thats a lot of patches, although you do get a little more glue.....
also, if you buy a good set of plastic tyre levers (blue park ones), then you might find them better and they won't damage your rim. Ive got a set (three) of the park levers.
- On the hardrock ive got spesh enduros on sun ditchwitch rims and thats about the hardest combo ive seen for a while (mainly because of the sun rims) and there very good.

I buy my patches from Halfords, they sell strips of just patches aloneI found it hard, its was hard to find, oh well whatever nevermind.

In terms of patches, im curous as to what your doing anyway.
I also buy the 80p (well £1.10) patch packets with 6-8 patches and a small tube of glue, but i make them last about two years by which time the glue and patches are usally old anyway. And even then most of the punctures are in my second bike which i ride in and out of campus while at uni, usally over rather spectaular amounts of glass from the prevous nights efforts!
Got my first punture in the rockhopper at easter, a year to the day from her first ride out. And that was the first ride out with the new tyres too. Although thankfully seamed to be a one off, rather than a refection of the Nevegals vs the Fastracs.

hahaha, spoons, old school.
I got some tire levers from asda for 99p, plastic like, but they don't bend and they don't scatch me rims.
Mind by the sound of the amount of patches your going through, you may want to try some tire sealant or something, Slime, that sorta stuff, i run it and i never get puntures.0 -
Holts tyreweld. One use and your tyres become virtually indistructable.0

Bought these 2 weeks after fitting Marathons + Slime to my bike. Somehow I think they'll last a year or 10 :oops:I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
i have an old Large puncture repair box which i think came from the days when you could get the larger box with the levers inside?? but have put all my patches and leaches in there along with the normal things, but rarely use it when out due to Tesco and Asda selling tubes at £1.50/£1.86 respectively, and from what i hear, Aldi selling tubes at less than £1 it makes repairing them semi pointless,
i carry two spare new tubes with me each ride and the puncture ki tjust incase, but found keeping the tyres up to pressure meant Very few puncture issues, Maybe i have just been lucky! (touching large peice of wood as i type!!)Timmo.
