France: know any 'driver & support van only' companies?

Hi

I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to the typically £1000 per week
supported cycle tours in France. Was wondering if anyone knew any
operations where there is just a driver and van to carry gear for
6 or so cyclists from A to B each day.

Thanks in advance for any advice

There are a lot of companies who offer 'self-guided' holidays ie they organise everything and ship your bags around and provide a certain amount of backup if something goes horribly wrong. eg

If you are happy to organize things for yourself and just want someone to ship your bags, then local taxi firms might be the most cost-effective alternative.

Alternatively, travelling round Corsica, I meet visiting cycling clubs who would hire a van and then take it in turns to drive (or a job for a non-cycling partner?).

The companies who do offer a full-on guided service with a full-time guide, first-aider and mechanic service offer pretty good value for money when you see what they do.

Hire a student? A cycle tour company in Canada put adverts in uni's. Student gets a free holiday for driving, helping to load / unload the van. Shouldn't cost too much between 6 or so of you. Might appeal to a photography student, for instance.

These are two small companies I used Rough Tracks 4 years or so ago and have no current knowledge of either company.
