ok so am getting my first spds at weekend, can i go wrong with the xt m770s, or is the any decent alternative? :?

    I've just moved up to the PD-M770's and must admit I like the bling factor of XT. That said I had the PD-M520's before (Deore I think) and apart from the bling factor and sealed bearings (although the XT's do seem to bleed grease when new) there is very little difference in the function of the M520s vs the M770s. If you don't mind paying the extra go for the XT, if you want to save £ 30 the M520s will do fine.
    It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
