Can't stay in gear

While doing some riding i noticed that the rear darraileur can't stay in certain gears.
The problem is that i select one gear and often it keeps chanching between near gears.
I did some searching on what could be causing this but to no avail.
What do you think could be happening?

Most likely needs fine tuning of cable tension.
Park Tools website has a good guide on set up.
Check that the derailer is not bent, nor its hanger, and all the components are in good condition (especially the cables)0 -

these are like a one piece cable to stop crap getting into your cable outer and clogging up they do work..
