Rear disc adapter problem

Hi all,
Could anyone tell me if all rear 160mm post-to-IS disc adapters are the same and interchangeable, as I just got a Shimano one and when I tried to fit a Tektro caliper to the rear mount it just won't fit. The body of the caliper fouls the adapter and it can't be bolted on. Do I need to get a Tektro adapter?
Thanks,

Ade

they all put the caliper in the right place for a disc of a given diameter, But seems that, as you have found, not all fit with all calipers.

have you got a picture of YOUR current set up showing the problem.

OK here is a pic of the problem. As you can see there's no way those bolts can be tightened. Perhaps I need some kind of spacers betwen the caliper and adapter? Or have I just done something really obviously wrong? lol
    Thanks

Indeed that does look like a shimano only mount. Might work with some other thin hydros...

    you need one like this.

a diatec standard 160mm rear adapter.
