Going Tubeless

I'm currently off the bike due to a bit of a coccyx injury (mentioned in another post - so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!) and i'm going to use the time to get some parts replaced on my bike. I was thinking also of switching to a tubeless tyre set up. I have DT Swiss 4.1D rims and the tyres will be bought fresh ready for the hopefully dry spring and summer soon arriving.

Is there a particular type of tubeless set-up that will fit these specific rims, or will a general all round conversion kit work? Also where do I get the 'stuff' from?

And what are good tubeless/spring/summer tyres? I was thinking Maxxis Ignitor XC's.

  • dt swiss do their own kits for this particular rim and they are spot on, got mine off CRC also make sure you use UST tyres for best results.
