Rides in Afonwen?

ive heard afonwen mentioned a few times now, just wondering wher the riding is? am i thinking of the right place? on the A541 between mold and st. asaph?

    I live in Afonwen. What type of riding you after? Theres the Clwydian Way on top of the Clywdian Range for xc, and a few jumps down the road in Melin y Wern.
    Wouldn't go as far as saying Afonwen is good for riding though, its just a route on to the top of the mountains.
    I could be wrong though, there could be some magical trails somewhere i know nothing about!

    Danevs where are you from? im in mold so not far at all. always great to stick some slicks on and blast down the a541 to st asaph and back!

    sikora i think your more on the ball as regards to the riding, i didnt think there was anything special was just making sure!

    The Melin Y Wern jumps might not even be there anymore either. Its a good 4 or 5 years since i was there last.
