Can someone please confirm to me what the PCD is on a Shimano chainring? I am unsure how to measure this on my chainring.
If it makes any difference the chain ring is needed for a bike running 9sp.
Thanks

Standard Shimano rings are 130mm PCD. Campag are 135mm. All compact are 110mm.

Thanks for the speedy response, so where do you actually take the measurement from?

It is the Pitch Circle Diameter. That is the diameter of a circle through the bolt holes centres. If the ring is non Shimano or Campag it will often be stamped on the ring. The easiest way to measure is to measure from the crank centre (BB) to the bolt hole centre and double it.

104mm on 4 arm MTB chainsets and 130 on Road Chainsets
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

We all should know the "proper" standard road chainsets are 135mm.....
