Cracked bashring

When cleaning the Kona earlier and noticed a crack just over 1cm in length that starts where one of the chain ring bolts goes through the bashguard and runs inward, toward the bb. There's also what looks like the same crack (but less pronounced) following on, the other side of where the chain ring bolt goes through.
Does this require imminent replacement?
the bashring atm is the plasticy one that comes with Holzfeller cranks.
Edit: and yes, it's probably my own stupid fault for over-tightening it
Second edit: dammit, this is MTB Buying Advice, not Tech. This isn't my day!

Doesn't require imminent replacement, unless you regularly hit it HARD.
Just something to do when you've got spare cash.0 -
cheers, i'll keep an eye on it now i know it's there anyway. It's more there for peace of mind and because I only use the same few gears than because I need one.
plus i've got an old K-9 bashplate, but i'm thinking it might be too small... grrr.0
