Converting a '97 P7 to run discs...

I've got a 97/98 P7 on its way to me soon and I was wondering if it were possible to convert the V-brakes to Disc?
Obviously the fronts a no brainer... but the rear ends a different question.
... I seem to recall a few years ago seeing some device that you clamp to the chain/seat stay that can support the fitting for a disc caliper (on a frame that has no brazed on fittings obviously)
Am I imagining this, and if not, what are they and where can I find one...?
Assuming there's room of course for a disc to fit at the back...
Anyone any thoughts, It's no biggy if not, just mulling over the idea...

A2Z disc adaptor might do the job, depending on what sort of drop outs the rear end has.

How does this attach to the frame? Looked at Wiggle and they just have a picture. Googled too and came back with just one picture and no more help.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

they do not. they attach to the hub.

i have one of those in my tool box, never fitted to the wifes giant. it might be for sale if you still wanted one. it clamps to the seat stay if i remember correctly. i should be able to sort the instructions out from the same spares box.0

i have found this picture of the adapter fitted:
it does clamp around the seat stay and you can still attach, and dettach your wheel easily.0 -

so it seems you need to have old fashioned flat drop-out tabs for the a2z thing to work.0
