Non Aero levers or Aero Levers?

Going on a fixed.

The option is Tetro (aero) or Dia Compe (non aero).

I like both but think swapping out and renewing cables maybe faster on non aero levers.

Ride on the hoods a lot on a sti/ergo equipped bike ? If so go aero brake levers.

I've got non-aero Dura-Ace brake levers on my Carlton, and they're a pain to ride on. I've also read that Aero levers have better stopping power than non-aero.

When you say you're after a Path Racer, what do you have in mind and what size?

I would certainly agree that modern(ish) aeros give better stopping than old style levers. Changed to Shimano 105 aeros on the fixed for just that reason. Once the outers are in place changing wires no more difficult.

Thank you everyone it would seem that safety being an optimum priority on a fixed I should go for the non aero.

Are there any stainless steel or rust proof cable housing products on the market?
