Wobbly forks

I just got a bike and was given a better set of forks from a friend. The when i fit the forks they wobble slightly. The forks are marzocchi z1 sport and bikes a norco wolverine. It says in the specs the headset is 1 1/8th and i was told so were the forks.

And did you tighten up the top cap before the stem?
