Lemond Filmore, waiting for me to pick up after work today at my LBS :D

Had a lift in this morning so my first ride will be my commute home, wish me luck everyone!!

Am chickening out slighty, having it set up with the freewheel first!
You can lead an elephant to water but a pencil must be lead

Congrats. You'll wonder why you bothered with gears. Just keep pedalling in order to practise going fixed. You'll get used to it v.quickly.

Back home and admiring me new bike!

Will wait till the weekend to ride it properly fixed, don't think sub-zero temeperatures and dark lanes are the place to try it out first!! Did enjoy the brief ride home tonight though

One thing though, memo to brain, STOP TRYING TO CHANGE GEAR, THERE ISN'T ANY SO GET USED TO IT!! :D

Memo prior to that one is "And...Don't...... forget........... to PEDAL!"

    Have fun.

  • Enjoy. You'll only forget to stop pedaling once.............and if you're lucky it won't be in front of the guy you're buying the bike from.

post it to something like photobucket and then copy and past the "IMG" code into your post.

Hope you enjoy the bike, I have been commuting and training on a "FIXED" for a couple of years now, I hate getting used to my geared bike again. Whatever you do don't say "FIXIE" or "FLIP-FLOP", it is "FIXED" and the hub is called a "FIXED-GEAR" hub.
