Hello i`ve got a giant xtc and i`m looking at getting a new stem. I like the length of my current standard stem but the problem is that i don`t know it`s length.
Does anyone know what the length is or how to measure the length of a stem?
can`t stop addicted to the shindig......

  • measure from the centre on the front of the stem, ie where your handle bars go through, then all the way back to the centre at the rear where your stem meets the post.

hope that helps. if not go on the giant web site and see if they have the spec of your bike, it may tell you there.
  • you'll also need to know the rise

yeah sorry forgot to mention that, kinda just thought he wanted length.
  • What model of XTC do you have? I imagine it's the very long stem in the region of 120mm

I'm changing my bars next week and perhaps my stem as it will be relatively steep when combine with my Easton low rise OS Carbon bars.
