Mashed axle

Hi, I have 2006 Fox 40RC2's and after a ride the other day, went to remove the front wheel and rounded the bolt through axle! Not good. I emailed Mojo and Tim suggested that i try and tap a slightly bigger allen key into the hole. This hasnt worked and now the near smooth hole is slightly bigger! Has anyone got any ideas on how to get the axle out??? Is there any particular tool that would help??? Thanks
