Has anyone carried out any maintenance on their X-7 shifters Eg opened them up to lubricate internally?

Mine seem to be playing up, in that their getting stiff and occasionally don't appear to change down.

On looking at the Sram website it states that their pretty much maintenance free - is that the case?

Or should I be looking at the cables instead?

all the maintainence you need to do is replace the cables, if you want spray some light lube inside at the same time GT85 type. opening them can be a big pain as the insides can go boing all over the place.

    have fun.
