5' 5", 29" inside leg - Ride a 17.5. Fag paper between top tube and clackers but not too bad. Just gotta make sure I don't slide forwards...

    5' 11", 19" frame.
  • I'm 5'9" with a 31" inside leg, my bike has a 20" frame, when I stand over the top bar, there is bodily contact, but I don't see it as a problem.

    6' 2" & 19" frame
  • i supose that it is really quite an irelivant question because it depends on quite a few things e.g. riding style, prefferance, geomertry and even what size frame was on limitted special offer at the LBS.

5'10 21in frame. My frame has a shorter then average top tube though so the larger size compensates for it.

Tiny so not much use for long slogs, but great for flicking around 4X and DH without smashing my nuts.

    5'9 and a half.

    17" frame.

For the commute, I have to raise the saddle a fair amount, but I like being able to throw it around trails without smashing my proverbials

I'm 6'3" and use a number of differrent frame sizes.

    Bianchi (road) 56cm
    Specialized (road) 58cm
    Foes FXR 21" and Foes 4X 18.5"
    Cannondale F3 19"
Uzzi VPX (until it got killed by baggage handlers grrrrr) large / 19"
My old kona is an 18" and my Raleigh M-trax (remember them?!) is 18.5"

If you're wondering what frame size you need it's very important to pay close attention to how the quoted size affects the other dimensions as well. Certain companies use a honking long top tube on smaller frames. With my old Adroit for example I only rode a 17" (medium) because I could barely reach the bars otherwise!

Spend as much time as the shop will allow you to on any bike you're thinking about getting.

    Good luck!
  • 6' and Both my Marin's are 17.5"

    32.5 inside leg

My wild card is I believe a medium 16" but that's designed to be small and chuckable
  • 6ft 7inches, size 14 shoe, 1mile inside leg, 21" framed Crush.

You should put these results into a table on the first post, just cos I'd be at the top :D
  • Okay GT, I'll go for second place then!

    6'5", approx 37.5"inside leg and 23.5" frame!

Which matches the 14" difference that is so often cited. I find loads of room for standover when on the deck, even on an uneven surface.

Very large frame size, especially compared to the others here, and I chose the Giant over a Kona because it came in the large frame size. I still have nearly all the seat tube out of the frame for on road stuff and long rides. I do drop the seat for technical stuff and steep bits! It's really too big a bike to be perfect for chucking around, but I knew i'd always be doing road trips and commuting on it.
