Hope Bottom Brackets

ok, my bottom bracket is just about dead, so i thought i'd replace that along with the crankset/cassette etc (it all comes at once doesnt it!!) anyway, what i'd like to know is will a hope bottom bracket fit with a Truvativ Holzfeller Chainset (DH Triple ISIS) i already run with the truvativ and am going to replace like for like as its great but just fancy being a little flash and going with the hope BB but not sure its compatible? any help most appreciated :)

    nope. it is for the X type and the shimano HT2.

    can you recommend me a good chainset thats strong enough to take DH/heavy use that would fit that BB or a decent BB to fit that chainset if that makes sense?

    just a thought, forgive me for getting ahead of myself here but would this go with a hope BB then if X type works with it? (trying to fathom all this tecchy stuff out!!)

    well all of the cranksets that work with that bb come with a bb anyway, so you would end up with 2 sets of bearings.

    so back to the start what bike? how many rings do you want to use?

    cheers for your help byt he way, am a bit of a tech numpty, so the bike, cove hustler and i want a triple ring to play with as i do a bit of xc from time to time

    i would then look at the Shimano XT crank set. and then when the bb wears out you can get the hope one to replace it.

    and the cranksets come with the BB ? didnt realise that from looking at chain reaction,unless once again i've managed to miss something!!!

    some do. and the type that work with the hope bb have the bb included.

    Look at the shimano XT Hollowtec II
