That's really nice, low-key but looks like it could take care of itself.

Is that a coil or air Pike, can I ask?

And why did you pick it?

Thats what I'd like but I'd have to add in a bmx and a commuter bike too :? so I'll have a hardtail hardcore XC (on-one inbred), a full on (marin quake) a bmx (fit flow) and a commuter (yet to get but probably from the local tip ha ha) i've thought about making the hardtail lighter and less hardcore but i never know what i might come across on an XC ride!

    where did the 24seven go?

Sure - its a Coil u-turn.... slightly heavier but less faff and very plush!

I frameswapped it for this. Then sold the other frame (24Seven) to big for me!

Sounds good. I'm in the market for a 140mm fork myself - coil and air Pikes are both on the list, y'see.
  • To be honest and I have said this a few times on various threads the coil is a much better system than air.

I know it's heavier but to be honest nothing major.

Unless you have a sub 20lb race bike there's no major point in saving weight on an AM rig etc

I personally think that the 426 Coil U turns are pound-for-pound the best pikes out there in terms of value and performance.

I have the poploc version which is very handy also!

I would say get the 426 Coil Uturns (in my pic) - you won't regret it!

Yeah, I was thinking they might be better in terms of performance.

I've got air Revelations and have been a little disappointed in their small bump sensitivity.

The fact that the coil Pikes are £100 or so cheaper adds fuel to the fire also.
  • Been waiting to see the pics cheesey. I like that a lot. saving myself for a full suss trail bike for summer riding and keep the hardtail for filthy winter.

Why can't i spot bargains like that?

    Nice, nice, nice! Want one!

Very nice Cheesey. I love the subtle white bits - It slook like an absolute beast!

Just to add my 2 cents worth to the air/coil Pike chat. I would have gone for coil but am too heavy for it, the settings dont allow for a spring up to my weight (not a fat lad, just very tall, if you didn't know already!) I settled on the 454 Air-U-Turn Pike.

So I'd definately recommend the coil for you Chaka Ping.
