I have £250 to spend on a full facer for my DH escapades in Les Gets this year - any advice welcome. Total newbie to DH but have convinced the missus that's where we are going for our summer hols (we are going for 2 weeks but only one is in LG the other is her choice)

I have a very large head and need good ventilation and I don't want anything to heavy!

Cheers

  • I would also add it's a bit for free riding - general 'accident prone' injury aversion more than anything else

I just want something decent that will protect my noggin....

And as I said £250 is my limit - I am more concerned however - about me heed!

Was looking at Troy Lee but can't find anywhere that has them in stock!

  • Cheers! I quite like the peaty one - I think I can wait until they come in stock.

Probably wont be going till about June..... liking the lion on the side!

Must be pretty popular.... my only concern is turning up with a peaty helmet on and looking a total **** when I stack it

However I saw a nice plain black one that looked cool which I am going to do some scouting o about for...
  • Ive just taken delivery of this

Great value I think, very light and the graphics are superb. looks even better in the flesh by the way!
  • Lookin' good!

That's the one I saw - very nice...

TLD helmets seem to be in demand at the moment - almost everywhere is sold out!

    The contender is:

what about that, a few lads at my local DH use moto x helmets... i got a carbon AXO helmet for £300 for moto x and it is very very light and is good for DH and most importantly its very very strong.
  • Think I'm totally sold with THE one - never seen a lid that freekin cool!
