register your bikes as stolen with immobilise.com
its free and the police have access to check it from the street.
I had my bike recovered from an operation the Met police carried out in brick lane. From 30 bikes they found, only 5 had been registered on there. still it's 5 bikes recovered to their rightful owners, and a couple of thieving gits behind bars!

really great to see you got your bike back, anything this forum can do to increase the registration of bikes the better! We are working with the Police so they can check the database from handheld scanners so come on get those bikes recorded!!
