Can anyone help please?

I'm new to the forum and wanted to add a picture - unfortunately it comes out at 70kb so is too big - does anyone know how to resize a picture and change the pixels?

Thanks a lot.

cheers

pete

What are you using to host the image?
Photobucket is a good one as once you have uploaded the image theres some bits on there that will resize the image to the right size for you
  • Welcome to the forum!

Gimp, Photoshop or pretty much any other image editing software will allow you to resize a picture and adjust the quality to get a desired image size / file size. You don't need to host the picture independently, just upload it to the forum from the profile page.

Google "resize picture tutorial chosen editing software" and you should get a choice of HowTos.

No idea, just did a google image search for stumpy man and it came up. I like fettling things on my bike and the idea of fettling with a hammer appeals :D

I'm pretty sure it's a BSD logo, but don't fret - it's not a secret society or swinger's club.* You'll just get the occasional linux geek asking "Is that a BSD demon, stumpyjon? Haven't seen one of those for a while..."

    *As far as I know.
