Best XC route in Peaks

Im looking to go for a ride in the peak district. I would prefer a route in the south of the peak district. Im looking for a fast-flowing XC route with lots of single track! No big drop offs, but rock gardens or wood walk-things are good. Looking for around 40-50km....? If anyone can point out a good route its much appreciated.

peak district is a bridelway thing only, there arent any specific trail centres

get hold of a map and plot your own....
