Waterproof trousers

i bought some montane velocity dt overtrousers in the summe but can't comment as i have not yet needed to use them; i am posting in order to mention that they do stuff down into a small sac, about size of an orange and have velcroed ankles. from reading past posts there is generally little enthusiasm for overtrousers most people report wet inside from sweating, and propose some sort of rain- resistant trousers; i suggest to try putting overtrousers in the search box and see if there are old posts

Which are superb, as per the 2nd post, or similar I think, as in have a stuff sac the size of an apple - very very light, feels like parachute material, I've never had any problem with getting hot in them, as they are so thin.

Only sold as water resistant, but have stood up to some good rain storms for me.

I'm pretty sure they have velcro around the lower leg, so you can tighten them so they don't flap around - I can check tonight if your interested?

But you might see similar elsewhere - far more substantial than the Montanes, and you do know your wearing them, on the plus side they are warmer (Good for winter) and feel more sturdy, but on the plus side they are a bit more restrictive.

I used them to cycle to Brussels mostly in rain. No leaks, no condensation. Made for walkers but they suit me just fine.
