upgrade

hi, have just got back from a wknd of riding in afan argoed (got some awesome video footage with a oregon action cam but that is another post) anyway am riding a rockhopper fs comp and have decided its time to upgrade to full sus :) only have no idea where to start with buying one? buget is around £1200

very greatful for any help

    I too had a rockhopper and wanted to change to full suss. I was torn between the Marin Rift Zone (2006) and the Specilaized FSR XC. Both bikes have a similar spec and receive good reviews. I went for the Marin in the end because it was cheaper at the time.

    I am very happy with the bike although it is my first full suss so I dont have anything to compare it too.

    The Specialized still looks good though....

    This is £1150 on this site but if you shop around you may get it for less. I saw one of these for £900 in my LBS the other week!

  • hey cheers for this, im interetsed in the specialized as have had a hardrock and feel it would be nice to stick with one manufac.

    anyone know anything about a Kona Dawg it has been suggested to me and want to see what others think?

  • i know ypu can get them at great prices (2007).
    they are a all mountain rig, all of them weigh around the 30lb mark.
