Suspension forks for the larger gentleman

I've just destroyed a set of Axel suspension forks in a crash that I still can't remember! One of my mates reckons that I am too fat for such forks and should get a set for a heavier bloke - I weigh about 220 lbs. I don't want to spend too much ££ as I'm still only a beginner.

    Perhaps something like the rock shox Tora, pretty robust and around £100, you could always upgrade the coil if the stock one gives to much sag.

    as above but do get the correct springs or get an air one that you can set to the correct pressure.

    I have RockShox Recon forks, I was 23.5 stones (329 lbs) when I bought my Trek 6700.

    I got a fork pump and increased the pressure a little. The forks have performed great, no problems at all.
