And yace makes his move, cutting the gap to just 16 points! And as of this very moment, what is the gap in the Vuelta a Espana? That's right, yace leads andyp by 16 points, meaning we have a virtual tie!

Andyp can some comfort in the fact that his Vuelta GC pick is leading yace's, but this PTP title is still ver much up for grabs!

Don't forget there are just 2 more races after the Vuelta ends, with Paris-Tours on the 14th October and the Giro di Lombardia 6 days later on the 20th.

All I have to do is pick the same as ContrelaMontre for 2 more races and the prize is mine. Bwwaahahahahaha

Apart from the Vuelta of course, which may throw a spanner in the works of that (admittedly really bad) plan.

    Hi there.

I was going to propose that picks for the last two races be submitted as sealed bids by private mail to afx (or someone else trustworthy) to scupper any wheelsuckers.

    Whaddya think?

    Cheers, Andy

ps Of course if we can't find any trustworthy (this is cycling after all) you could send in your pick as a password-encoded zip file, then send the password after the race has finished. I can organise this if you want.
  • ps Of course if we can't find any trustworthy (this is cycling after all) ...[snip]... I can organise this if you want.

I have my suspicions about you andy g! Why should we trust you eh?

Oh and Noodley, unless Carlos crashes out of la Vuelta I reckon the Pink Bananaguard title is as good as yours!!

Could I just echo the sentiments above? - thanks for running a great contest.

Perhaps Pete Cossins could give one of those Ridleys that seemt o be cluttering up the ProCycling office.

Could I just echo the sentiments above? - thanks for running a great contest.

Perhaps Pete Cossins could give one of those Ridleys that seemt o be cluttering up the ProCycling office.

I was under the impression this years prize was full Astana kit? :P

What can I say - hopefully by winning this competition without resorting to performance enhancing drugs I've demonstrated that it is possible to race and win clean!

Thanks afx for running this so well all year - it's been a lot of fun.

    thanks afx237vi

i could almost smell the podium and managed to beat afx237vi so i'm dead chuffed. not bad going for someone whose main basis for selection is if they wear orange or are called Boonen.

i'd like to thank Sam the man Sanchez and the rest of the Euskaltel squad for actually winning things this year.

I managed to beat myself! Don't think I had a single winner since the Tour of Catalunya

Thanks for thanks everyone. It was my NASA powered super computer that kept me going. That and the drugs.

(Edit: Well, you know, if you happen to have a Ridley going spare...)
  • Well done AndyP, a deserving champ after leading for so long! :D

Cheers, afx for doing a grand job! Top marks! :o

I'm already plotting my revenge over Noodley next season!
