Anyone know why the King's Road was closed last night and this morning?

It was actually quite refreshing to take a different route home, but I don't fancy the A3 again this evening...

Road works I think. Last night I had to cut down to the Embankment then on to Putney Bridge along some pretty ropey backstreets. This morning the police were letting bikes through the cordon and I am hoping for the same tonight.

Got cut up pretty nastily by a German-reg Audi on the King's Road this morning, while I was signalling to turn right. Discovered that left hand drive cars have the advantage of being able to get literally nose to nose with the driver while remonstrating :D

Not exactly. After the gentleman in question annexed my road space, I likened him to Stefan Kuntz (of Euro 2006 fame) and asked him if he would like a jackboot in the Michael Ballacks.
