Hello!

My Orange Clockwork uses a 27.0mm seatpost. Hear tell .2mm either way doesn't matter- is this true? 27.2mm ones are a lot easier to find...

Thanks

will be ok, seat tube on your bike is prob 27.0 seatposts are usually slightly wider eg .2mm= 27.2 i think.

Thanx... post is actually a 27.0 (stamped on it), but it's not a particularly tight fit. I think 27.2 would be OK.

umm, not sure now then. im sure specialized seattubes internal diameter is 30.7 and the seatposts are 30.9 although i mabe wrong. same sizing should apply for your orange tho, try orange webby?

have you ever thought about why seat posts come in so many sizes?

because yes you do need to use the correct size.

but you seat tube should be 29.6mm and your seat post should be 27.2mm and be used with a shim..

is the size supposed to be exact same on seatube and seatpost nick or am i right in thinking seatpost should be marginally larger?

lets say the internal diameter of the seat tube is 27.0mm the seat post should be 27.0mm.

yes they are not exactly the same size as the is a certain "fit".
