Is this feasible?!
Currently have stock Manitou Magnum R's on a 2001 Rockhopper A1 FSR Comp and am looking at these http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/acatalog/info_509.html - will it f**k up the geometry etc..??!

It will knock the angles back by a degree. If in doubt get a travel adjust fork and have a play.0

Half the reason I looked at those was I could do with the lockout as I travel/live in central london - or should i get these http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=13998 in 85mm ?0 -
That lockout is cack anyway, is mechanical, which means no blow off valve so a chance of damaging the internals if you forget to unlock it or hit a bump. I'd get the 85mm version, or an 80mm Rockshox Tora0

Dart three a good budget option, but not as good as the standard MX - also quite heavy. This worth a look too:

Discontinued the ones at Merlin don't have the V brake option - will order the MX at 850 -
