I bet you're all really surprised to hear that Chinny went through the first check fastest.

Maybe we should have a guess how much he'll win by instead of "will he win?"
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Comments

  • Do you think that Chin (with a capital C) provides some sort aerodynamic advantage?

How else does he take sooo much out of other TT specialists in the first 11 k??

He's probably going to win by 3 minutes in the end!!

Rule No.10 // It never gets easier, you just go faster
  • He's already overtaken the Goose!

    Unbelievable.

Not looking like the British boys are going to trouble the medal presenters. Shame. :(

  • Have any of our lot started yet?
  • Wiggins is 9th apparently at 40 ish k. 5 seconds behind 6th place apparently. over 1minute 20 behind Fabian

Millar is way, way, way down.
  • Dave is saving himself for Sunday I reckon, which begs the question why was he riding the TT as well.

    Results
    1 Fabian Cancellara (Switzerland) 55.41
    2 Laszlo Bodrogi (Hungary) 56.33
    3 Stef Clement (Netherlands) 56.39
    4 Bert Grabsch (Germany) 56.39
    5 Sebastian Lang (Germany) 56.53
    6 Raivis Belohvosciks (Latvia) 57.01
    7 Andrey Mizurov (Kazakhstan) 57.44
    8 Dominique Cornu (Belgium) 57.52

Not as dominant in the latter stages, though 52 seconds is still quite a margin. I bet Grabsch isn't happy - denied a medal by fractions of a second.

A friend of mine was talking to Bradley at the Duo Normand last weekend and was told, from the horse's mouth, that he was good for a medal today.

Good job I'm not a betting man - I could have lost a bit there.

Maybe there is a special medal for the highest placed rider Paul Kimmage believes to be clean.

Who's cleaner though - Chinny with his CSC monitoring programme or Wiggins (I won't call him Wigger because it makes him sound like some kinda white b boy) who can't provide that kind of data?

They could be the same, i.e. they are both clean.

However, as you point out, only Cancellara can prove it.

He's clean and that's good enough for me though. And Wiggins...quite a good ride by Wiggins I think. His 2nd at the TDF TT is clear evidence clean wins are possible

But if you take the Worlds as an example, Cancellera is in a very good independant anti-doping system etc, so shouldn't he be held up as an example of someone who can win (rather than come 10'th) clean.

The 2 German fellows also performed well and surely if we assume Dave and Brad are clean we'd assume the same for them?
