i take it when you say "road use" you are actually meaning street mtb. if you are meaning road racer type bikes then you should be clipped in. if its crank bros they have deidicated pedals for road use ie drop bar tour de farse typre bikes. lolinternet (in ter net), secret sanctuary of idiots and nutters.0

you mean riding a mountain bike on roads sort of commuting style? mtb street and road are very different. for road they're quite expensive and excessive i think. but for street yeah go for it0

if you are going to ask question don't be so brief as we aren't a bunch mind readers on here. although some poeple might like to think so.
anyways if you DO mean "road use" on a mtb then what is wrong with the pedals you already have. do you not have any or something, as you are asking about the abilities of a flat pedal when if you want real benefits from "road use" you should "clip in" with spds (other brands are availabe).
as i said before if it's for "street use" ie jumping stairs n all that. then the 5050 xx will do just fine.internet (in ter net), secret sanctuary of idiots and nutters.0 -
