I've got a nice XTR tubeless wheelset coming and in need of some nice light(but not crazy light) tubeless tyres.

Current tyres are Panaracer Fire XC foldable using Stans so I'd like something lighter

Any advice on whats out there??

light and tubless do not really go together.

normal tyres and some convertion kit can be light!

    useage?

I'm using Tioga Red Phoenix, pretty light, amazing grip but slow in a straight line.

I've been running Spesh SWorks Roll-X UST tyres which are about 690g in weight and cope really well with mixed conditions without too much compromise on speed. I have also run Fastrak UST on the rear for XC speed, and kept a Roll-X on the front for grip ! Saying that, I have ordered a set of the new Mich Mountain A/T's in 2.2 DC to replace the High Rollers on my spare wheelset, as these are better suited to the local trails.

Another tyre worth considering the Maxxis Crossmark, which generally gets very good reviews !
  • If you want light how about Conti Speedking supersonic? 400g each.
