Hi.

Do they do the same job?

or is one more better than the other?

    Aswell as being lighter the kevlar beaded folding ones,often are made with better compounds.

    So aswell as benefits in better accelration,you can also gain better grip.

    My own experience with tyres is to buy the best you can afford,as its one area where spending a bit more can make a massive difference to the performance of your bike.

    I'd go for the folding tyre every time - unless it was cost prohibitive!

    I use folding on the front, and steel on the rear 'cos the rear steel was almost half the folding price!

    When you can get decent folding tyres for £40 a pair,why would you want to buy cheap steel versions?

    Kevlar tyres are so much easier to remove & put on aswell, I put them back on without tyre levers no problem
