Hi guy's, long time lurker here and not an ofen poster. Anyway, question, I've been commuting on my slicked mountain bike (14miles a day) and I really wan't a new road bike. I headed to my LBS today and checked out a few bikes, the one I really liked and am thinking of buying is the Specialized Allex Sport Triple. Had a great chat with the guy, turn's out he's the manager and we wen't through a few particular and he recomend's a size 54, sat on it and it felt great.

So any advice, input or experiences with this bike, any good for a noob???

PS, the store is the Specialized Concept Store in Chester, filled full of bike porn. Really impressed with the shop too.

Hi, you've hit on the right bike there, it is the one most people recommend when a "which bike should i get" question is asked. Always gets a good report when reviewed in C+.
So, if it feels right and the size suits you and the shop is helpful BUY IT !!
Oh, then start saving for accessories and clothing.

Is it a 2008 model? If it's a 2007 model you should be getting a discount (£50 to £100) as the new models are coming out just about now. Fine bike, either way.

Or get them to throw in some pedals. Does it come with pedals?

Yeah, it's a 2007, they are asking £599. Seem's like a good discount to me.

I don't know if it come's with pedal's, it didn't have any in the shop. Are they usually sold with pedal's?

That is a very good discount - £180 I think!
