How about trying www.bikely.com and doing a search on said locations?

Take your bike on the Ferry across to Isle of Wight. Some great spots over there. New Forest also OK.

Try mtbsouth.co.uk. Local clubs: Dorset rough Riders, Meon Valley MTB Club, Fareham Wheelers. MTB South has links to their sites.

New Forest is a bit cra6. I paid a quid for the poxy official leaflet about cycling in the forest. 3/4 of it tells you what you can't do, and the map is for kids. There's definately an anti bike agenda going on there. Horses are encouraged to go anywhere. Bikes have to stick to prepared routes and gravel tracks. I don't rate the New Forset at all for mtb.

  • Lots of good stuff in Daaaarset-eg Pentridge/martin/Swanage areas, also south downs and Salisbury area-lots of old drove roads you can use. MBR featured a nice route up Win Green recently, so I'd think about heading that way.
