I've just bought myself an early birthday present of an edge 305. I've already got a polar 720 that I use for running and cycling. Problem I;'ve got is which training log software to use. Garmin software won't talk to polar, polar software won't talk to garmin.

Not a great surprise but I'd really like to be able to keep a log of all exercise in one place. Anybody use anythnig that does this? I've had a quick look at cyclingpeaks but is there anything else I should consider?

not sure why you'd want to keep using the Polar when you've got an Edge that will give you heart rate data by location/time with elevation data too.

Buy yourself an mp3 holder that will take the Edge then use that for running.

    Then get Sporttracks

Shows your workouts on a google map background - either satellite or streetmap based.

Oops. Good thinking. In my head the Edge is a cycling computer so I couldn;t use it for running unless I took the bike with me (I believe this is counted as cheating)

    Great advice thanks!

Another vote for Sprttracks, great piece of software (and free too!)

I've been using Zeropace training log for a few years and it gets regular updates and supports loads of kit, including my garmin, powertap and polar devices. Its really cool software....

Being picky, Shouldn't this thread be in know-how?
