I was flicking through the local newspaper's website today and came across the article below:
http://www.croydonguardian.co.uk/news/l ... bother.php
The family presumably consented to the article (and photo), but I can only imagine how much abuse the girl is going to get from other kids when they read it on the web or in the paper. She will probably be glad that the summer term is almost over.
I'm not a parent, but if I was I certainly wouldn't go to the local paper about something like this.

I was interested in the forum replies underneath the article. Shame that a number of 'torch carriers' were so keen to condemn the school and the teacher concerned.
Let's consider:
- PE lesson
- At least 30 kids, different abilities/behaviours
- School rules on conduct, staying in class etc. applied
- Teacher limited with entering changing rooms, quickly retrieving resources for said lesson...
- End of term approaching...
And girl needs toilet.
Not to condone a young girl's obvious embarassment but... a little perspective please.
Additionally, my question would be: Why didn't you go to the toilet IN the changing rooms BEFORE the lesson?
Who'd be a teacher?0 -
