MTB Pedal with Toe Clip

Hi Guys
I have finally gotten my Mongoose Tyax Elite - its far to nice to take out in all this rain !
Problem is I like ride with strapless toe clips - the big flat mongoose pedals won't easily accomadate such a clip - does anybody know of a cheap pdeal that will take a toe clip ?
(don't won't to use clipless, as I want to just be able to hop on the bike - to pop down the shops without changing shoes)

Clipless are defo the way to go, I changed to them about 8 years ago and have never looked back.
However if you don't fancy conventional clipless then get some with a cage around, and then you have the best of both worlds.
Clipless take a bit of getting used to, I remember falling over when I came to my first set of traffic lights - but well worth it once you are comfortable with them.0 -
im pretty used to used to SPD'S and have them on my road bikes - agree the ride is much better - but I really want this bike to be ready to go out the garage - for example when one of the kids have gone astray !
i had these clips without straps on my my old mtb - which was a great compromise - I wanted an MTB flat - that will take a toe clip !0 -

Yep those are the clips I have - what I would like is an MTB style pedal - that will take these - the mongoose flats - that came with bike - don't0

They bolt onto the reflector mounts don't they?0

Yes, they go on the reflector mount.
I use them on my MTB, gives me an option to jump off at short notice!
Another option is Power Grips

I've used these as well, you can wear any type of shoe and you can put the power on the pedals without getting squashed toes.
Again, they go on the reflector mounts
I prefer these types of set up off road, but use SPDs on my road bikeRichard

Are these the sort of thing your looking for?
There are cheaper about but Wellgo tend to be better quality than some I've tried in the past.
