Tubeless tyres - some opinions please

Hi,

I'm an avid trail rider with regular riding over Cannock Chase which is local to me and also trips to the likes of Coed Llandegla, Betws y Coed and other centres. I ride a Specialized Hardrock Pro (07) with standard 26x2.1" nobblies.

I also recently took part in a London to Paris cycle ride on this bike, although I changed the tyres to 1.5" road tyres which did the job very well indeed. (A road bike would have been the preferred choice but money was tight)

However, I'm looking at the future and I'm considering changing to tubeless tyres for trail riding. I also use the bike in the week for getting to/from work which involves, compacted canal topaths and some roads, and at the weekend, trail riding.

I was wondering if many people had swapped over and their opinions/thoughts etc??
