Any Goretex will be overwhelmed at the moment. its too warm. The few reviews I've seen of Chapak have all been good. I suspect its cheaper because its not a name brand here, where massive mark ups are the norm. Mike Dyason sells it in the UK: www.mikedyason.com although I suspect not at that price!

Mike Dyason used to import Chapak waterproofs, but has not had any listed for a few years now. I bought my last Chapak Goretex top from XXcycles in Toulouse. Very quick delivery so I would recommend them. http://www.xxcycle.com/php/boutique/pag ... om=ACCUEIL

I've got a Cahapk goretex, from decthlon in France. Had it 3 or 4 years now, used it road & MTB riding. Its quite a soft, light fabric used, seams are taped as any gore tex jacket needs to be, doesn't have a hood & is very no frills, but a superb VFM piece of kit.

But I've not seem them since in decathlon in france, the UK branches never seemed to have them anyway, besides they are a pounds:euro kind of place. if it costs 10 euro in france, it will (often) be œ10 here.

There is a full range listed on his website, which appears to be current as it refers to 2007.
